Two of our trustees, Nicky and Ally, had a lovely theory day at Scolton Manor, followed by a fantastic day at the Tywi Centre near Llandeilo on Wednesday (12th February 2025) learning how to use lime in renovating traditional buildings.
Our excellent tutor, Joe Moriarty, was very patient and encouraging, and didn’t laugh once at our very basic errors, or that we were covered in lime by the end of the day
Funding for the 2 days of tuition was provided by the government via the Heart of Pembrokeshire project and Pembrokeshire County Council.
We’re hoping that when we start work on St Madoc’s our conservation stonemason will allow us to assist him with some of the less skilled tasks.
